Christina Martin Rises from the Pandemic

What would you do as a singer/songwriter if a world-wide pandemic closed all the music halls and concert stages where you normally perform? For many, it could be career ending, but not for one very creative woman from Port Howe.

Christina Martin will launch a unique online presentation today called THE DENIM SERIES.

The series consists of two parts, The Denim Sessions, ten weeks of live concerts every Wednesday at 4 pm on Facebook, and The Denim Diaries, a more personal chat with Christina on Instagram each Thursday in August, also at 4 pm.

It all launches from her home in Port Howe, free from public health restrictions and streamed right to her fans across the world.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone, but for those whose livelihood depends on gathering with people, the uncertainty is often debilitating. Martin, whose creative side shows up in her music, is not one to be beaten by the uncertainty.

The Denim Series is her way to take charge, to regain control of her career and perhaps her destiny.

The singer/songwriter has been helped through the recent closure of her European Tour and the cancellation of her Asian Tour scheduled for this fall by supportive followers who subscribe to an online forum called Patreon, where they pay a monthly subscription for advanced previews of her music along with unique personal insights reserved only for followers. In fact, The Denim Diaries, launching on Instagram tomorrow, will convert to Patreon exclusively in September.

The Denim Series is not just about Christina Martin in concert online, it is about Christina and her partner, producer, and musical sidekick, Dale Murray. It is personal, almost a one-on-one with the music and the creative process that brings it to life.

While Denim is a major step forward, there is still some wiggle room within the COVID rules for some small local concerts, both indoor and outdoor. While restrictions on numbers, social distancing, and face masks will be part of these events, Christina is doing all she can to offer that close, personal sense that fans always feel at her live events.
