MP Thanks Pugwash Legion for Community Service
The Member of Parliament for Cumberland-Colchester met with leaders of the Pugwash Legion yesterday to say thanks for the efforts in the community and among veterans.
Lenore Zann spent some personal time talking about veterans and military experiences among families, including hers. The MP listened intently as the legionnaires shared their stories of family, service, and war.
Zann has been visiting the seven legions in her riding that received some special funding intending to offset loss in operations during the coronavirus pandemic. The country’s legions, like businesses and other organizations that own or operate public facilities, have been hard hit while closed or operating under greatly modified circumstances.
While the financial assistance was delivered last December, just over $11,000 for Pugwash, Zann’s visit offered a certificate of appreciation.
The photo shows the MP displaying the certificate presented to Ken Cameron, President of The Peace Branch #60. Left to right: Ken Cameron, Ethel Bellong, Maggie Stone, Brian Chase, and Lenore Zann.
