RCMP Host Live Update on April Mass Murders

The RCMP will host a press conference this afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. Police will offer an update on the investigation into the mass murder spree in mid April.

The media briefing will be broadcast live on Six Rivers Radio. Click HERE to listen.

Police warned over a month ago that the investigation would be detailed and time consuming. Much of their latest attention has been trying to determine what drove Gabriel Wortman to such atrocious action, killing twenty-two people over the span of about thirteen hours, beginning in Portaupique and ending when he was shot by police at a gas station in Enfield.

Family and friends of the victims are anxious to have questions answered and have called for a formal public inquiry. Nova Scotia’s justice minister says there will be an inquiry. Premier Stephen McNeil and member of parliament Lenore Zann agree that both federal and provincials officials must take part so that real action can follow any inquiry recommendations.
