The Katie Belle is tied up at the Windsor Salt Wharf in Pugwash, her home port for HarbourFest 2016.

The Katie Belle, a home built schooner, is currently anchored in the Northumberland Strait not far from Pugwash, waiting to make its grand entrance in the harbour late tomorrow morning. It is expected about noon, and once here, it will be the headliner for the 2016 edition of HarbourFest.

The flag is flying at half mast today at the Sunset Community facilities in South Pugwash as staff and residents mourn the passing of Denis Brown, their former administrator. Brown, 83, died quietly in his sleep about one o'clock this morning following a brief battle with cancer.
