Cuba and Oxford Lead at Big Lake

The Big Lake Nazarene Church Camp always has guests but this year one guest played host for the week-long event.

Rev. Osmel Pozo Serrano, from Manzanillo Cuba, assisted in the leadership at this year’s family gathering which ended today.

Serrano and his wife Elsy (photo) spent the week visiting Nova Scotia and concluded it is very similar to their home in eastern Cuba, except colder.

Maritime preachers and musicians lead services twice each day for the past week. Camp director Rev. Mark Collins, Canada Atlantic District Superintendent of Nazarene churches is shown in the photo with Rev Mark Collins and Rev. Osmel Pozo Serrano. The Oxford Church of the Nazarene has been connected to Pastor Osmel’s Cuban church for many years.
