Pugwash Woman Injured in Off-road Mishap

RCMP are investigating a serious off-road accident that required a Pugwash woman be air-lifted to hospital in Halifax.

The unidentified, 51 year-old woman was driving a side-by-side yesterday about 5:30 pm, when she crashed into a power pole along Thompson Road near Birchwood, south-west of Oxford.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital in Amherst. She was later transferred to Halifax.

The investigation continues and there was no further word on the woman’s condition.
