The provincial coordination centre is deploying workers from both the NS Natural Resources and Renewables Department, and Canadian Armed Forces.

military resources to Cumberland County and the towns of Amherst and Oxford beginning Saturday to assist with tree-cutting across the region. They will not address trees near or entangled with power lines, as that remains a task for trained personnel from Nova Scotia Power.

A large maple, which is on my neighbors property, fell over and crushed my fence in my back yard. Can I get some assistance with the trees removal?

You'll have to ask Cumberland EMO which is coordinating the clean-up volunteers.

I will mourn the death of the printed Chronicle Herald (mists of time-2022) for some time. Oh, I know it is not dead yet, but suspect its days are numbered.
