Amherst Couple Faces Trespass Charges
A man and woman are facing charges following an incident overnight in Amherst.
The two were arrested when police found them roaming backyard areas around Charles Street.
After the arrest, police discovered tampering with vehicles in the area. Officers also seized a bicycle they believe was stolen during the incident.
The woman, aged 28, is charged with trespassing at night. She was released and will appear in Amherst provincial court on July 11th.
Meanwhile, the 37 year-old man was held in custody. He is charged with theft, trespassing at night, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with a release order. He will appear in provincial court later today.
