Another Week, Another Toonie Winner

The Pugwash Fire Department (PFD) handed out another bundle of money last night in the weekly Toonie Draw, a community based 50/50 fundraiser.

Number 651 proved to be a winner for Darlene Pauley. She collected $352 as her share of the week’s proceeds.

The PFD is enjoying an increase in the program. But more important, they expect the fundraiser will grow over the next few weeks as people come back to Pugwash as a summer community.

Over 750 are enrolled in the fundraiser but only half that number have been involved over the winter months.
