Friends of the Pugwash Estuary (FOPE) gathered at the Northumberland Curling Club for their annual general meeting yesterday. FOPE is one of those good news stories that just keeps on giving to the community.

Hiking enthusiasts were not disappointed this afternoon as Friends of the Pugwash Estuary hosted a snowshoe hike at Estuary House. Members and guests gathered at the group's property on Crowley Road, just outside Pugwash. 

Most organizations hold meetings, but Friends of the Pugwash Estuary (FOPE) always give you an extra reason to attend.

Changes to the Children and Family Services Act, that will help protect Nova Scotians from 16-18 years of age, improve child safety, streamline court processes and ensure children have a safe and lifelong family relationship, take effect on March 1.
