Plans for a live radio debate for the mayoralty race in Oxford are taking shape. The debate, between the incumbent mayor Trish Stewart and challenger Arnold MacDonald, is being organized by Six Rivers News and Radio.

The Pugwash Legion will launch a chase the ace fundraiser beginning Saturday. The Peace Branch will operate the chase on the first and third Saturday of each month.

A resident on the Wentworth Collingwood Road noticed a suspicious white van in the yard early yesterday morning. The van backed into the yard, close to the house, and two men got out. 

Wildlife officials who were roasted in June became the toast of the town in Wallace tonight. Al Hanson and Andrew Kennedy of the Canadian Wildlife Service met again with the Wallace Area Development Association (WADA) to talk about the walking trail in the Wallace Bay National Wildlife Area.
