Bill Martin / Thursday, December 15, 2016 / Categories: News Book Launch Party for Pugwash River Friends of the Pugwash Estuary have published a book on the river they hold so dear. A History of the Pugwash Estuary will be launched at the Northumberland Curling Club in Pugwash, tomorrow at 4 pm. The idea came from Stephen Leahey who sensed the history of the river and its people might capture the imagination. Skeena Lawson, an historian at Mount Allison University, compiled the research, and Hazel Felderhof edited the work. The book traces the history of the people of this beautiful estuary from the earliest days. The launch is open to the public tomorrow from 4:00 to 5:30. The book will be available for sale, perfect timing for a great Christmas present for those who live in the area of the Pugwash River.
