Construction Starts Monday at Pugwash Hospital
Construction will begin Monday at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Pugwash. However, this is not the long promised new hospital.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority announced repairs to the existing parking lot will be completed next week, November 4-8.
During the work, some entrances to the building may not be available, however the contractor will ensure that at least one fully accessible entrance is available at all times.
Parking spaces will also be impacted and there will be signage directing drivers to available spots.
The parking lot has been in sad shape for quite some time, though people accepted it while expecting construction of a new hospital.
The promise of such construction has been offered during a number of provincial elections with Conservative, NDP, and Liberal governments all failing to fulfill the commitment.
