The Tidnish Bridge Fire Department asked for and received $5,000 to replace the motors on their 21 year-old rescue Zodiac. In a letter to council, the department said their current engines “are no longer reliable in an emergency situation.” The replacement cost totals $27,600. In asking for the donation, the department said it will continue fundraising in hopes of having the funds by May so that new engines will be in place for the coming season. Add your comments below.
