Staff Reporter / Monday, August 24, 2020 / Categories: News COVID Outbreak in the Northern Health Zone The Nova Scotia COVID count has reached seven with the news yesterday of two new cases and another death. A man in his eighties became the 65th death from COVID-19. He lived in the Northern Health Zone which is suffering an outbreak following travel outside the Atlantic provinces. The man is believed to have contracted the coronavirus from a traveller. The two new cases are also in the Norther Zone now home to six active cases. The other infection is in the Central Zone. Premier Stephen McNeil says, “This is a stark reminder that COVID-19 is still in our province and is still a risk. We all must continue to work together and follow the public health advice and protocols to protect each other and keep our citizens as safe as possible.” Add your comments below.
