Cumberland Crime Stats for Late January
Cumberland RCMP responded to 311 calls over the last two weeks of January.
The crime stats show 130 calls under the motor vehicle act, along with 23 vehicle collisions, 24 check stops, and 2 impaired driving.
On the more serious side, there were 14 break and enter calls, four assaults, three for fraud, 11 uttering threats, and 12 suspicious persons or vehicles.
The Community Policing Officer noted the rise in suspicious activity. Cat. Travise Dow invites calls on any suspicious vehicles or people. Reporting such activity may stop something serious from happening. When you see something out of the ordinary, call your local detachment of the RCMP.
