Cumberland Joins Weekend Operation Bluenose
Many lights were blue last night throughout Cumberland County. It was part of Operation Bluenose, a weekend vigil honouring the souls lost in this year of tumult and turmoil.
Cumberland turned on blue lights last night to shine from the E.D. Fullerton Building in Upper Nappan, the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre in Springhill, the Parrsboro Bandstand, along with the Wentworth Firehall.
Operation Bluenose is a testament to the strength of will and community, recognizing the staggering loss of family, neighbours, friends, and colleagues in Canada’s worst mass shooting in history this past April.
While many continue to talk of #NovaScotiaStrong, this is the weekend of #OperationBluenose. Businesses and private homes across the province are joining with simple lights of blue or more ornate images projected in blue.
Everyone is welcome to join tonight and tomorrow to turn the night sky blue and add comments to the Twitter hashtag #OperationBluenose or right here on Six Rivers News.
