Staff Reporter / Thursday, January 23, 2020 / Categories: News Cumberland to Accept Auto Debit Payments The Municipality of Cumberland will soon offer a new payment option for paying tax and other bills to the county. The Director of Finance told County Council that residents can sign up for pre-authorized payments through a debit card. Andrew MacDonald says the option will be available February 3rd. Debit may be used for property tax bills, water and sewer services, and other county invoices. You can pre-authorize bill payments for regular intervals, like the 1st or 15th of each month, or you may arrange for bills to be paid in full. MacDonald says, “The new method of payment will offer a higher level to our residents by offering a modern and customer-focused method of keeping accounts current.” You must apply to setup debit payments. Details will be included in your next bill from the county and will soon be explained on the Cumberland website. Add your comments below.
