Staff Reporter / Monday, May 29, 2017 / Categories: News Drive-Thru Rules Ready for Public Review Pugwash residents will get one more kick at the can regarding drive-thrus in the village. Cumberland Council is moving forward with a revised plan to allow restaurants and other businesses to operate a drive-thru window. The plan calls for strict control measures and the public will have a say in those measures at an open house tomorrow at the Village Hall. County planner, Nelson Bezanson will present the regulations he intends to recommend to council in June. The open house runs from 3 to 6:30 pm at the Village Hall. The plan will be presented for council's consideration following one more opportunity for public input. A public hearing is intended on the evening the matter comes before council. It is not yet known whether that will occur at the June 14th meeting, the only council meeting set for the month.
