Dump Truck Strikes Pedestrian in Kolbec

A thirty-nine year old man was struck by a dump truck, last night, while walking along Kolbec Road.

The man was seriously injured and transported to the QEII in Halifax by Life Flight. Police now say his injuries are not life threatening.

The collision occurred about 7:25pm.

Cumberland District RCMP closed the road for several hours as an RCMP collision analyst collected evidence.

A police spokesman said no charges are expected, but the investigation is continuing.
