Staff Reporter / Thursday, May 23, 2019 / Categories: News Empty Seat on Pugwash Village Commission The deadline for nominations has come and gone, leaving a vacancy on the Pugwash Village Commission. The call for nominations closed yesterday for a planned village election on June 1st. There were two seats up for grabs, one of which was filled by Bill Martin who offered for a second term. With no opposition, Martin is elected by acclamation. The second seat is left vacant as Carl Purdy decided it was time to retire from local politics. Since no other candidate stepped forward, another election call will be posted for the last commission seat. Add your comments below.
