Staff Reporter / Saturday, September 24, 2022 / Categories: News Fire Departments Connect to Emergency Centres Cumberland opened its fire stations as comfort stations during the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona. Due to extensive phone outages, landlines and mobile networks, people are having difficulty calling 911 and/or obtaining emergency services. The fire departments have a radio based communications system to help the public connect with emergency service providers. Fire personnel are on site offering tea, coffee, and water, along with phone and mobile device charging. Add your comments below.
