Help Oxford Police in Rock Throwing Incidents
Cumberland RCMP is asking for public assistance after rocks were thrown at vehicles from an overpass on the Trans Canada Highway on Sunday.
It was just after 8 pm on Sunday when Oxford RCMP received a 911 call about rocks being thrown from the overpass on Highway 104 near Sutherland Lake.
Motorists reported a group of four or five individuals on the overpass at the time.
No damage was reported at that time, but a second report came at approximately 11:20 pm on the same overpass. This time a vehicle was struck by rocks thrown from the overpass.
Despite an immediate response in both incidents, police did not locate any suspects.
Although no one was injured, the damage was significant, and the outcome could have been much worse.
The investigation is continuing and police invite anyone who has information or may have witnessed these incidents to call Oxford RCMP at 902-447-2525.
