Staff Reporter / Friday, February 28, 2020 / Categories: News Huge Success for Pugwash Food Bank The food bank drive at the Pugwash Coop was an overwhelming success. The annual Johnny Cash birthday bash for the Open Hamper Food Bank gathered over 27 hundred dollars and raised half a truck load in food donations. The Event coordinator, Bert McWade, says a large contingent of students from Pugwash High School surprised the gathering and 97 percent of them showed up wearing black, to support the ‘Man-in-Black’ event. McWade is a spirited community supporter often leading events with humour, though his regard for Donald Trump is real. McWade says donations for the food bank are still arriving. He reminds everyone that the need in the community does not stop. Add your comments below.
