Hurricane Lee Sputters Through Nova Scotia
Hurricane Lee has diminished considerably since making landfall in Yarmouth and Digby.
Some mighty waves were crashing ashore along the Southwest tip of the province and then proceeded up the South Shore and the Bay of Fundy.
Power went out through the night along the South Shore and was still off late this morning. Reports suggested the rain had subsided but winds continued.
Closer to home, power went out late this morning in Wentworth and later in Wallace and Malagash, though the winds have subsided and have not posed a threat in much of Cumberland.
Pugwash suffered one downburst of rain late this morning but like the wind, it did not last.
Cumberland officials continue to monitor and update reports to Six Rivers News as well as their social media preferences.
We will interrupt live programming on Six Rivers Radio, if conditions deteriorate, to bring you updates and advice from EMO. Listen at https://usa10.fastcast4u.com/sixrivers and save or bookmark the link for future use.
