July 10th Election Set for the Village of Pugwash
Nominations opened today for a seat on the Pugwash Village Commission. Election day is set for July 10th.
A single seat—currently held by Roger Mundle—is up for grabs in the usual cycle of annual village elections.
Interested candidates need to file nomination papers, available from the village clerk at the village hall.
Nominations close at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 7th.
The election is a little late this year, having been postponed earlier due to COVID restrictions under the Public Health Emergency.
When asked if he would re-offer, Mundle said, “I’m thinking about it.”
The village also plans to host its annual meeting in early August. That event was also postponed by the gathering restrictions during the pandemic.
The AGM brings together the many committee and community organization reports, along with a detailed auditors’ presentation of the financial statements for the village.
