Local Promoter Invited to Help Build Trump’s Wall
Bert McWade has always been upfront with his support for Donald Trump. The Pugwash resident has been outspoken since “The Donald” announced his bid to run for the presidency.
While McWade has had numerous opportunities to say I told you so, the local promoter has remained quiet as the Trump presidency unfolded.
Now, it is the president who has called on McWade for help.
A fundraising campaign is circulating by email, asking for support to build the now infamous wall separating Mexico from the southern border of the United States.
With his unflagging support of President Trump, McWade finds himself on the receiving end of a direct invitation to gather financial support to complete the wall.
The online campaign seeks $2 million to send a message to the Democrats whom Trump insists are blocking the critical effort.
For his part, McWade has shared the campaign email with a number of locals in the Six Rivers area.
Given McWade's record with successful community promotions, Trump may have tapped the right guy at the right time. However, another McWade success would mean Mexico does not pay for the wall. It seems that President Trump could build the wall with McWade's help, but it doesn’t have the same ring when he announces that Bert and his friends paid for it.
