The deaths occurred yesterday at Northwood Care in halifax, the long-term care facility that has been ravaged by COVID-19. Twenty-seven people have died and 915 have tested positive to the virus. Ten licensed long-term care homes and unlicensed seniors' facilities are battling the virus with 218 infections among residents and ninety-five staff. Testing is down somewhat with the QEII Health Sciences Centre's microbiology lab completing just 483 tests yesterday, despite operating around the clock. Meanwhile, the RCMP have charged 24 people for offences under the Nova Scotia Health Protection and Emergency Management Acts. The police have charged a total of 185 people with offences related to the current provincial State of Emergency in Nova Scotia. Add your comments below.
