Mundle Re-elected to Pugwash Village Commission
Roger Mundle was re-elected today for a three year term on the Pugwash Village Commission. Mundle was the only candidate at the close of nominations this afternoon giving him the seat by acclamation.
He has served for a number of years, twice as the Commission’s Chair.
The new commissioner will have to wait to be sworn in at the next scheduled meeting on August 10th.
That meeting will also elect a chair, vice chair, and appoint signing officers, a procedure required after each election.
The Village has long held a series of elections, one each year in a three year rotation. The process, which is designed to avoid a complete change of commissioners, calls for an election of two commissioners in the first year, two more in the second year, and a single seat, like this year, in the third.
