New Fire Chief in Oxford Now Official

A new one-two punch at the Oxford Fire Department was officially sworn-in this week at Oxford Town Council.

Mayor Trish Stewart conducted the ceremony, officially installing Trueman Rushton (left in the photo) as Chief, and Ken Hickman as Deputy Chief.

The department's change in leadership follows the resignation of Tory Rushton who surrendered the position when he was elected to the Nova Scotia Legislature as the MLA for Cumberland South.
