No Injuries in Pugwash Car Crash
Emergency personnel closed Highway 6 at the entrance to Pugwash tonight after a car went off the road on the S-turn near the Brickyard Road.
The car failed to negotiate the turn, falling on its side in the ditch.
Paramedics were first on the scene, helping the female driver out of the vehicle.
Given the location, securing traffic became the next most important order of business. Pugwash firefighters responded to the call, shortly after 9pm.
While one team righted the car, which was still running and in gear, and checked for leaking fluids, another team set up on either side of the emergency vehicles to take control of traffic.
The road was closed for about ten minutes before drivers were directed through the one available lane.
Paramedics confirmed the driver was not injured, and she provided details of the mishap to RCMP.
