Nova Scotia Records Zero New COVID Cases
LIVE PRESS CONFERENCE AT 3 PM ON SIX RIVERS RADIO
Despite more than a thousand tests yesterday, the microbiology lab at the QEII had no new cases of COVID-19 to report. It marks the first day without a positive test since March 14th when the pandemic made its presence felt in Nova Scotia.
It is with that as background that Premier Stephen McNeil and Dr. Robert Strang will host their final press conference in May. The good news is expected to prompt more positive announcements in relaxing the public health rules imposed under the State of Health Emergency that is set to expire on Sunday.
The press conference will be broadcast live by Six Rivers Radio about 3 pm. Click HERE to listen.
As of today, Nova Scotia has 1,055 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The only remaining active cases are at the Northwood long-term care facility in Halifax where there are ten residents and four staff carrying the virus.
Eight individuals are currently in hospital, three of those in ICU. Nine-hundred and seventy-eight individuals have recovered completely.
