On Air Church to Break Sunday Silence
Sunday morning has largely fallen silent as churches succumb to the restrictions on public gatherings. Gone are the church bells that herald the day of worship and so too are the people who gather in praise and prayer.
A few larger and better equipped congregations have quickly adapted with online or virtual services on Facebook or YouTube, but the greatest number of churches have simply resigned to wait until the coronavirus pandemic runs its course.
Hope Centre, owner of Six Rivers Radio, has the facility to offer a virtual church on the air. In fact, with recently retired pastor Bill Martin at the helm, the online radio station began last Sunday with a message of hope from Rev. Jodi Getson, Lead Pastor at the Oxford Church of the Nazarene.
Tomorrow morning at 10:30, Pastor Bill will temporarily come out of retirement to help fill the void.
People keep asking, “If God is so merciful and loving, why does He allow good people to suffer?” Given the coronavirus, that question is in the forefront today. Pastor Bill will address it head-on.
Six Rivers Radio plays uplifting Christian music every Sunday morning from 8 am to Noon. Tomorrow the offering will include his message in a short service from 10:30 to 11 am.
