Oxford Readies Second Habitat Home
The second home in Oxford’s Homes for Humanity project should be ready for occupancy in May. That’s the word from Kathryn Toope, Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications.
The official handing over of keys event is expected around the middle of May.
The proud occupants will be Kale Bingley and his son Caleb. Kale is employed at Oxford Frozen Foods.
Bingley says, “We’ve moved around quite a bit and I’m really excited for Caleb to finally be able to settle into something permanent and build some memories there.”
This is one of 10 Habitat homes, on Little River Road, on land donated by the Town of Oxford.
The Bingley’s have been living with a co-worker. They had previously been in company housing, which is only rented out during blueberry season.
