Darren White has painted a tribute to the town’s status as the Wild Blueberry Capital of Canada as the centre ice motif. Town Council has focussed a great deal of attention on the facility in recent years. Efforts included energy efficiency, lighting, structural improvements, new rink boards, and now a new paint job. More work is planned for next spring, after the ice is removed, to address concerns with the ceiling. The photo shows it is a most impressive sight which will leave a lasting memory for all who visit the facility, especially those who take a face-off in the middle of the blueberries.
