Oxford Residents Under Boil Water Alert

The Town of Oxford is struggling through a water contamination crisis.

The town issued a boil water warning early yesterday morning, urging residents to boil all water for at least one minute, after it reaches a rolling boil, before any human use or consumption. 

Public Works employees found issues with the system’s chlorine injectors and repairs were made late yesterday. 

Officials submitted water samples to the Department of Environment, this morning, hoping to get the all clear.

In the meantime, residents must follow the boil water advisory.
