Staff Reporter / Sunday, November 4, 2018 / Categories: News Oxford Residents Urged to Boil Town Water The Town of Oxford issued a boil water order today, warning all users of its water utility. A power outage at the town’s water treatment plant could lead to poor water quality. Residents are asked to boil any water, to be used for human or animal consumption, for at least one minute. This includes any water used for drinking, ice cubes, washing food, brushing teeth or any other activity requiring human or domestic animal consumption Once the plant is safely back in operation, the boil order will be removed. In the meantime, the Town apologizes for any inconvenience to residents and visitors.
