Oxford Says Thanks to Acting Chief Admin

Tonight’s town council meeting was the last for Acting Chief Administrative Officer Kevin Matheson, who was brought to the town in December, to help council improve its  municipal operating procedures.

He filled the vacancy left by Darrell White who had the job for about a decade.

In the photo, Mayor Trish Stewart thanked Matheson on behalf of council and staff. She said, “We’ve learned so much from you.”

The new CAO takes over May 1st. Council passed a motion tonight to officially hire Rachel Jones as the Chief Administrative Officer. 

Jones moved to Oxford from Middleton where she was CAO since 2014. She previously worked as CAO in Berwick and Wolfville.
