Larry Duchense / Tuesday, July 25, 2017 / Categories: News Oxford Seeks a Development Officer The town of Oxford hopes to have a community development officer beating the bushes for business and grants this Fall. Rick Draper, Chair of the town's Community Economic Development Committee, said advertising for the new position will begin in September. The job will be "part-time temporary", up to 20 hours a week to start. The new employee will work with local businesses to find expansion opportunities, look at community infrastructure to see if improvements need to be made, and investigate grant opportunities for the town. "It's too early in the process to list specific duties," says Draper, "But one task could involve updating the town's business directory."
