Phone Service Lost at Area Hospitals
UPDATE: SERVICE RESTORED
Two area hospitals have lost telephone communication this evening.
All Saints Hospital in Springhill and Lillian Fraser Memorial in Tatamagouche experienced temporary telephone outages. Neither site can make or receive outside calls.
Health and telephone officials are working to correct the situation.
The hospitals remain open.
Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911. For general health advice and information call 811, a service offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by experienced registered nurses.
The Mental Health and Addictions Crisis Line can also be reached 24/7 by calling 1-888-429-8167. Mental health resources are available online at https://mha.nshealth.ca/en.

Nova Scotia Health advised, just before midnight, the phone service was restored to both hospitals.
