Police Recover Massive Haul in Maccan
Police recovered more than a quarter million dollars in stolen goods in Maccan yesterday.
Bradley Peter Gilbert, age 27, was arrested when a team of police executed a search warrant at a property about 9am in Maccan. The Cumberland County man faces numerous charges in relation to thefts throughout the county.
Members of the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Unit (SCEU), were assisted by the Amherst Police Department Major Crime Unit, Cumberland County District RCMP, RCMP Emergency Response Team and RCMP Traffic Services.
The charges include:
- Seven counts of Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Three of Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Failure to comply with release order conditions
- Possession of prohibited weapon
Gilbert was taken to jail awaiting a court appearance at a later date.
The various police agencies are coordinating the investigation which involves multiple files and numerous complainants. Additional charges are anticipated.
