Staff Reporter / Wednesday, January 23, 2019 / Categories: News Pugwash Area Power Outage Explained Over 14 hundred customers went without power for nearly seven hours yesterday in the Pugwash area. The power went off at noon with a failure at the Pugwash sub-station. A spokesman for Nova Scotia Power said a ‘recloser’ failed requiring a crew to be sent to the site. They completed a workaround to re-route power to the affected area. There will be another brief interruption today as crews replace the defective recloser. Any customers who may be affected by today’s planned interruption will be advised by phone in advance.
