Staff Reporter / Tuesday, March 19, 2019 / Categories: News Pugwash Fugitive Arrested in Amherst The police manhunt for Bradley James Barton of Pugwash is over. The 34-year-old was arrested this morning in Amherst by Cumberland RCMP. Barton was wanted on several charges stemming from incidents on March 7 near Oxford. It is alleged that he stole a car that was later involved in a collision on the Thompson Road. A volunteer firefighter stopped to offer assistance but his car was also stolen, leaving him stranded at the scene. Barton avoided a province-wide arrest warrant for the last two weeks.
