Staff Reporter / Monday, June 19, 2017 / Categories: News Rhonda Kelly Sentenced to House Arrest The executive director of the former Cumberland Regional Economic Development Authority (CREDA) has been sentenced to one year of house arrest for forgery. Rhonda Kelly received the sentence in Amherst Court today. Kelly faced charges of defrauding the Nova Scotia government of more than $5,000 and filing forged claims, following a 2014 report from Price Waterhouse Coopers which found $790,000 in false and questionable invoices. She pleaded guilty to one charge of forgery April 28th of this year. Kelly will be required to wear an electronic ankle bracelet to monitor her movement. She was also ordered to repay $97,000.
