Staff Reporter / Thursday, February 21, 2019 / Categories: News Rushton Wants Answers on Health Care Crisis The MLA for Cumberland South will try his hand at motivating the provincial government to deal with health care issues. Tory Rushton says Liberal Health Minister Randy Delorey must answer for the frequent ER closures in Cumberland County. Rushton says, “I’m deeply concerned with the frequent ER closures. This happens week after week, whether it is planned or unplanned.” He added, “These ER closures cause frustration and fear in our communities. The Liberals need to address them immediately.” The Legislature reconvenes next Thursday and Rushton will be asking for the Liberal plan to address the healthcare crisis in the region. His challenge follows on the heels of the MLA for Cumberland North who has been pressing the government on the same issue for nearly two years. Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin has peppered the Liberal government with questions but received little or no response.
