Salt Truck Overturned in North Middleboro
There were fender benders all across the province early this week, but none like this mangled truck in North Middleboro.
The truck had just loaded up at the salt mine in Pugwash and headed out Monday afternoon into the wet and wild winter storm that caught many by surprise.
The vehicle went off the road in a windy, hilly section of Highway 368. The track and trailer separated, with the trailer overturning in the ditch.
Officials elected to leave the wreck till the storm subsided.
Crews worked all day today (Wednesday) to clear the wreckage.
The truck was severely damaged and appears to be a total loss.
There was no indication of any injuries.
