Saturday Night Moves to Saturday Night
Eric MacEwen's Saturday Night in a Harbour Town, an eclectic radio program with traditional east coast music, is moving to Saturday night.
The very popular show hosted by veteran broadcaster Eric MacEwen is produced weekly from his home studio in Canoe Cove, PEI. The program gains its name from the fact each episode is released on Saturday.
For the last number of months, Six Rivers Radio has re-broadcast the program on Sunday afternoon but a new agreement will have the show air at its intended time of Saturday evening at 8:00 o’clock. The Sunday broadcast will continue for those who miss the Saturday broadcast.
Listeners should also note that an archive of past shows is also available on demand at www.ericmacewen.com.
MacEwen, a native Newfoundlander, is as fun and colourful in real life as he is on the air. His long career as a disc jockey introduced him to newsmakers and other colourful characters around the world. His love for traditional east coast music and his many travels throughout the region allowed him to amass a substantial private collection of unique recordings and anecdotes that combine for a kind of weekly kitchen party in Canoe Cove.
Find out for yourself. Eric will be a regular weekly guest on Morning Talk, the live talk show heard weekday mornings from 8 to 10 am on the Six Rivers Radio Network. Beginning tomorrow, he will join us every Friday at 9:45 to talk about what he plans for his weekly program.
