Single Vehicle Crash in Pugwash
All emergency services were called to the scene of single vehicle crash in Pugwash this afternoon. Fire crews were first on hand, followed by the RCMP, and ambulance personnel.
Two people were travelling west on highway six, just entering Pugwash about 3:30 pm, when the car suddenly steered into the ditch, crashing into a driveway culvert across the street from Sheryl's Cafe.
Unofficial reports suggest the car was headed to the North Cumberland Hospital as the passenger was not feeling well. The driver is reported to have blacked out just before the crash.
The car, with New Brunswick plates, sustained extensive damage to the front end.
The scene was congested for a short while. The fire trucks left the scene when EMS paramedics assumed care of the vehicle's occupants. The car was left in the ditch, out of the way of traffic, awaiting a tow truck.
