Staff Reporter / Wednesday, October 17, 2018 / Categories: News Special Election Set for Pugwash Commission A special election has been called in Pugwash to fill a vacancy on the Village Commission. Commissioner Christie Blackie, in the photo, resigned for personal reasons, just six month’s into a three year term. The special election hopes to fill that seat for the remaining part of the term. Nominations are open to residents of the village who are Canadian citizens over 18 years of age. Nomination documents are available at the Village Hall, and must be filed with the Village Clerk, no later than 4:30pm on Wednesday, October 31st. The Commission has five members who are elected to carry out the business of the village.
