Springhill Mourns Weekend Car Crash

The community of Springhill is grieving today following a two vehicle crash on Highway 2 in Fort Lawrence on Saturday night.

The accident claimed three lives and sent another to hospital in critical condition.

There was heavy rain at the time and officials suspect one vehicle hydroplaned into the other.

Two adults and an infant died in the crash. All were residents of Springhill.

Police are still investigating and no names or detail have been released.

As grief gripped the community, officials decided to cancel today’s planned opening of the new Lamp Cabin Park and the 65^th anniversary ceremonies of the “Springhill Bump.”
